FREE Draft of the New TVTA Guidebook!
(Last updated January 3, 2008

The TVTA Guidebook is presently out-of-print. We are actively working on the production of the 3rd edition, but progress is slow due to many pending changes. In the meantime, we are making a DRAFT version of the Guidebook available for FREE.

All sections of the Guidebook are in Adobe PDF format and formatted to fit on standard 8.5x11 paper. The Introduction and Direction sections have been generated using a bookfold format. They can be printed double-sided and folded in half to create a standard-sized 4.25x5.5 guide.

Over the coming year the draft Guidebook will be updated regularly to accurately reflect changes in the trail route. In addition, it will undergo a series of incremental improvements in format and presentation that will make it more useful to the avid or casual hiker. Please refer back to this web site regularly for updates and refer to the "last updated" dates to determine if any changes have been made.

Introduction
The introduction provides natural, historical, and cultural background information on the Thames River Valley and the Thames Valley Trail Association, in addition to practical advice for hiking the Thames Valley Trail.

Maps
There are six topographic maps that show the trail route in detail. They overlap where the trail crosses from one map to the next. The Map Key shows the entire route covered by the trail and the area covered by each topographic map.
