New Look of the TVTA Website - We have introduced a new look for our website. The TVTA wants to thank John MacCabe in assisting our webmaster in putting this new layout together. We have also been permitted by a few of our members to use photographs that they have taken of the TVTA trail and our activities over the years. We welcome other submissions. Due to privacy rules, if anyone objects to the use of any photograph that may include their versage (face), they are free to contact the TVTA Webmaster and that photograph will be immediately removed. Trail Updates - We are posting on our site three updates to the TVTA trail. (February 5, 2010)
Safe Hiker Program - A Safe Hiker Program will be held on March 20 at the St. Thomas Public Library. The $50.00 adult registration fee will include an Elgin Trail Club Membership, Trail Guide and Safe Hiker Student
Manual. The Elgin Club is offering current students a special rate of only $10 for the same package. Please contact Cathy Johnstone by email at johnstone_cathy@hotmail.com for additional information.
Third Annual Hiker Day - March 27, 2010 - Central Library. Mark your calendar. Hiking representatives are making plans to hold our third annual 'Hiker Day' at the Central Library. Additional details will be published as they become available.
Earth Day Celebrations - We will celebrate Earth Day by participating in the Thames River cleanup event on Apr 17. We will need about 20 volunteers to help clean up three sites along our trail. Meet at 9:00 am at Huron & Highbury. Work assignments can be adjusted so everyone can participate. Details are available in the Activities section of the Trekker.

Annual Summer Picnic - Members are invited to attend the annual picnic on June 12, 2010 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at the London Life Recreation Centre. Parking is available off Talbot St. and Oxford St., East of the bridge. $5:00 per person plus a salad or desert. Bring games and a chair.
Annual General Meeting for all TVTA members - Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Grosvenor Lodge, 1017 Western Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Business meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. New Board members will be elected. A speaker and presentation will follow the meeting.
